Co-led by brothers Justin and Derek Gray, Gray Matter explores original Canadian contemporary jazz music. Born and raised in Toronto, the bass/drum duo have been composing creative music throughout their careers. When they're not on tour or recording as the rhythm section battery in support of countless International artists, the Gray boys focus their energy towards Gray Matter. Together, they bring forward a unique blend of modern jazz and groove music, intertwining vocal and horn-based melodies with creative improvisation.
